Overview

The 11th Highlandgames in Maximilianpark Hamm in 2025 proceeded as usual over two days: Saturday saw competitions among adult clans in kilts on the meadow by the Glass Elephant, while Sunday saw children transform the stage into a mini version of the Scottish games. The Highland Dragon Pipe Band provided the acoustic backdrop, and the supporting program offered whisky, Highland souvenirs, and Scottish cuisine.

The eleventh edition of the Highlandgames in Maxipark once again attracted hundreds of families and Scotland fans to Hamm. Six-person teams in kilts competed in the classic disciplines of caber toss, stone put, weight for height, and tug-of-war. Bagpipe music and stalls accompanied the spectacle all day long. On Sunday, the children had their own version of the games, with age-appropriately adapted disciplines.
