Overview

The Hessisches Schäferfest 2024 took place in Hungen on the last weekend of August with the classic four-day program: Rock opening on Friday evening, State Sheep Herding Competition and Schlager Night on Saturday, Shepherd's Run with Royal Coronation and festive parade on Sunday, Frühschoppen on Monday. Organizer: City of Hungen.

The 2024 edition continued the tradition established in 1922. In 2022, the festival celebrated its 100th anniversary with a prominent Schlager Night lineup (Daniela Alfinito, Bernhard Brink, G.G. Anderson); in 2024, the festival followed the proven format with the State Sheep Herding Competition, Shepherd's Run, festive parade, and Schlager Night.
