Overview
The 24th Herrenchiemsee Festival took place in July 2025, continuing the tradition of high-caliber classical concerts in the Hall of Mirrors at Herrenchiemsee Palace and the Frauenmünster church. Internationally renowned early music ensembles presented a sophisticated program celebrating European musical culture, guided by the values of humanism.
In 2025, the Herrenchiemsee Festival once again presented an internationally acclaimed program at its two unique venues on Herreninsel and Fraueninsel in Lake Chiemsee. Top ensembles specializing in historical performance practice gave concerts at 7 PM, preceded by pre-concert talks. Under the patronage of Duke Franz of Bavaria and Kent Nagano, the festival reaffirmed its reputation as one of Bavaria's most important classical music festivals, while also preparing for the 2026 anniversary edition.
