The 18th edition of the Herne St. Martini City Run 2025 once again gathered hundreds of runners of all ages on Bahnhofstraße. A flat 5 km city course, disciplines from Bambini to adult — a must-attend event on Herne's grassroots sports calendar.
The Herne St. Martini City Run 2025 once again proved its successful formula: a flat city course, a well-graded program from Bambini to the main HGW run, and an atmosphere that oscillates between competition and family festival. Schools and clubs sent teams, parents brought their children, and the Herne Sports Office managed the logistics routinely. With each year, the event grows in importance as a regional grassroots sports highlight — the 19th edition in 2026 is therefore eagerly anticipated.
