Overview

The Hermann-Hesse-Tage 2025 took place from October 10th to 12th at the Gaienhofen community center. Three days of lectures and readings brought Hesse researchers and literary enthusiasts to the Nobel laureate's place of residence on the western Lake Constance. The program followed the established structure: talk show on Friday evening, lecture blocks and staged readings on Saturday, and a Sunday matinee with the main lecture.

Hermann-Hesse-Tage 2025

The 2025 edition continued the annual tradition of lectures in the municipality of Gaienhofen. Three days of programming at the community center and the Hesse Museum explored aspects of Hesse's work and its contemporary impact. The cooperation between the municipality, the Tourist Information office, and the Hesse Museum enabled a dense program with internationally recognized speakers.

As every year, many visitors took the opportunity to explore Hesse's former residences and the Höri artists' topography — Hermann Hesse, Otto Dix, Erich Heckel: the peninsula was an astonishing hotspot for artists in the 20th century.
