Edition 2025 — World Children's Day Herford
Herford World Children's Day once again saw thousands of visitors, both young and old, in the city centre. Over 50 clubs, schools, and daycare centres set up their activities — from craft stations and sports parcours to stage shows. Free admission, family-friendly atmosphere.
Looking Back at 2025
Just like in previous years, the concept of Herford World Children's Day 2025 worked seamlessly: the entire pedestrian zone was a play zone from 11 am to 4 pm. Parents, grandparents, and children found a rare form of politically motivated family festival in the city centre — linked to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and yet possessing playful charm.
Participation
Over 50 institutions from the Herford district and the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region participated — from schools, daycare centres, and sports clubs to cultural initiatives and community associations.
