Overview

The Herbstkirchweih Wilhermsdorf 2025 took place from September 12 to 14 on and around the market square. Three days of Kerwa activities, festival tent, farmers' market, flea market, and citizens' shooting competition accompanied the traditional oldtimer meet-up by the Oldtimerfreunde Zenngrund. As in previous years, the mix of village tradition and oldtimer show attracted a diverse audience from the Zenngrund and the wider region between Cadolzburg, Langenzenn, and Markt Erlbach to the market town.

The 2025 edition stuck to the proven format. The Oldtimerfreunde Zenngrund displayed their collection on the market square, the festival tent was full on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday concluded with a family program and a festive church service. The Herbstkirchweih thus remains the larger of the two annual Kerwas in Wilhermsdorf—alongside the Spring Kerwa in early spring.

In the Zenn valley, nestled between the Middle Franconian cultural landscape and the industrial proximity of Fürth and Nuremberg, the Herbstkirchweih holds its firm place in the event calendar—as a collective gathering for a region that otherwise organizes itself on a smaller scale.
