Overview
The 2025 Herbstfest of the Herne-Wanne Animal Shelter attracted animal lovers from all over the Ruhr area to the shelter in Eickel. Two days of program with tombola, flea market, pet snacks, craft supplies, and cosplay performances generated income for the association's animal welfare work. The event has established itself as an annual highlight in Herne's event calendar.
The 2025 autumn edition continued the series of fundraising festivals for the Herne-Wanne Animal Welfare Association. With a tombola, flea market, and sales stands, income was generated for the care of the over 100 animals awaiting new families at the shelter. The concept, combining a classic association event with cosplay encounters, is unique in the western Ruhr area.
