The Hohnbeer 2025 unfolded as usual over three Saturdays in February — Norderegge, Süderegge, and Östereggen each hosted their own festival day with parades, Boßel games, coffee parties, and balls. Despite the variable North German February weather, the festive parades in Heide's city center were well-attended, confirming the immense appeal of this regionally rooted tradition.
Hohnbeer 2025
As every year, the three Eggen celebrated their own Saturdays in February 2025. The festive parades, Boßel competitions, and evening balls followed the pattern established in 1841 — with Eggenbrüder in full regalia and well-attended parades through Heide's city center. The tradition thus remains one of the most vibrant folk customs festivals in Dithmarschen.
