The 2025 edition of Headbangers Open Air once again brought old-school metal fans from all over Europe to Brande-Hörnerkirchen. Four days of Heavy Metal, Thrash, Power Metal, and underground acts made the festival one of Germany's most specialized and atmospherically dense metal events.

2025 Review

At Headbangers Open Air 2025, metal purists from Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, Great Britain, France, and of course the German-speaking regions gathered again at the HOA grounds on Schierenhöh. The festival maintained its line of specialization in classic and underground metal subgenres, offering a tightly packed stage program over four days. The mix of reunion shows, underground talents, and renowned headliners proved successful once again — and laid the foundation for an even more ambitious selection in 2026.
