Overview

The 28th Hausacher LeseLenz took place in July 2025 — ten days of international literature at the Stadthalle Hausach and other venues in the Kinzigtal valley. As every year, the festival focused on a guest language and brought together authors from Germany and around the world. Writer-in-residence and poetry lecturer scholarships also accompany the festival beyond the actual program, making the LeseLenz a year-round literary hub.

28th Edition 2025

The 28th edition of the Hausacher LeseLenz took place in July 2025 — as every year, ten intensive festival days in Hausach in the central Black Forest. The Stadthalle Hausach at Gustav-Rivinius-Platz remained the main venue, with further readings held at various locations in the Kinzigtal valley.

In the summer of 2025, the festival awarded new writer-in-residence and poetry lecturer scholarships to Kathrin Tordasi, Daniela Seel, Anna Kim, and Thilo Krapp for the 2025/26 period — a selection encompassing poetry, novels, essays, and children's books. The multi-year structure of these scholarships makes the LeseLenz more than just a one-off festival week: it permanently anchors international literature in Hausach.
