HARD:LINE Film Festival Regensburg

The 12th edition in 2025 continued the successful format of previous years: 7 festival days, two venues, premieres with director Q&As at Ostentorkino, repeat screenings at Andreasstadel. The festival remained true to its focus on horror, thriller, and science-fiction contributions — with a clear focus on European and international independent productions beyond mainstream distribution channels.

The funding partner in 2025 was again FilmFernsehFonds Bayern. The festival awarded the Méliès d'Argent for the best European short film and the audience award. HARD:LINE continues its tradition as a meeting point for the German-speaking genre cinema community — alongside Fantasy Filmfest and Weekend of Horror, it is one of the three fixed addresses in the German calendar.
