The Harbour Front Literature Festival 2025 once again brought international authors to Hamburg for three weeks of readings and discussions. Venues included the Rathauspassage and Hamburg halls in HafenCity and the city center. The Harbour Front Debut Prize was awarded as usual in a festive setting.

Harbour Front 2025 – Review

In 2025, Harbour Front once again demonstrated why it is one of the most important German-language literature festivals. Three weeks of readings, discussions, premieres, and a program ranging from established voices to promising debutants. The Rathauspassage served as the central venue and festival heart in the Hamburg-Mitte district; further events were spread across HafenCity, the Speicherstadt, and Hamburg's city center. As every year, the highlight was the award ceremony of the Harbour Front Debut Prize.
