Edition 2026 — Haniel Klassik Open Air
The 7th edition of the Haniel Klassik Open Air takes place on September 11, 2026, at 7:30 PM on the Opernplatz in front of the Theater Duisburg. Free admission. For the first time, Stefan Blunier will conduct the Duisburg Philharmonic as the new GMD, hosted by Götz Alsmann. Special guest: Koray Berat Sari with a commissioned composition for the Musikzirkus Marxloh and Karsu Dönmez as soloist.
The event is organized by Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH together with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the Duisburg Philharmonic. The event marks the 2026/27 season opening in Duisburg.

- Duisburg Philharmonic under the direction of the new General Music Director Stefan Blunier.
- Choir and soloists of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
- Host: Götz Alsmann.

- Guest soloist: Dutch-Turkish singer Karsu Dönmez.
