The 2025 spring edition of the Handgemacht market in Kappeln opened the season for the North German crafts series in the harbour area on the Schlei. Around 50 exhibitors, exclusively manufacturers of one-off pieces, presented their work for four days to regular customers and day-trippers from the region.

The 2025 market confirmed the popularity of the location: the harbour area between the bascule bridge and the Schlei promenade was the scene for around 50 stalls. Organizer Ingrid Berkau and her exhibitors showcased ceramics, textiles, jewellery, leather, glass, and woodwork — all handmade, individually numbered, or unique pieces.
