Overview

The hAMMERsound Festival has been held at the Peißenberg festival grounds at multi-year intervals since its premiere in 2018. The third edition took place in 2024; the next will follow in 2026. The premiere itself attracted a large young audience with over 3,000 visitors, seven bands, a skate contest, and the Azubi-Meile, establishing the festival concept that remains successful to this day.

The hAMMERsound Festival first took place on Friday, July 31, 2018, at the Peißenberg festival grounds. With temperatures around 30 °C, the number of visitors grew from about 600 in the first 90 minutes to over 3,000 guests by evening. Seven bands performed on stage, including Under Attic, Roadstring Army, Roger Rekless, The Prosecution, and Jamaram.

Even then, the skate and scooter contest and the Azubi-Meile (24 companies at the premiere) established themselves as permanent features. The festival was organized by the Municipal Youth Services with around 75 volunteers. The format continued in the following years, most recently with the third edition in 2024, before the fourth edition follows in 2026.
