Edition 2025 — Hammelskerb
The Hammelskerb 2025 took place from July 25th to 28th and followed the traditional schedule with a festival tent, Kirmesrede, and Frühschoppen. As usual, the organizers were the Dorfverein Güdesweiler e.V. and the IG Hämmel.
The Hammelskerb 2025 continued an unbroken tradition dating back to the mid-18th century. On Friday evening, the young men of the IG Hämmel opened the festival with the Kirmes disco. On Saturday, SG Oberes Bliestal played their home match on the sports field, followed by the dance evening in the festival tent.
Sunday, as always, was dedicated to the Kirmesrede: After the church service and lunch, the white-and-red clad Hämmel marched to the village square to satirically comment on village events. Monday featured the Frühschoppen with the Musikverein Steinberg-Deckenhardt and the traditional Kerbebegräbnis late in the evening.
