Overview

The 2025 Hamburger Tag der Familien took place, as usual, on a Saturday in late summer – a city-wide day of action with free family offers in all Hamburg districts. Family centres, museums, church communities, associations, and neighbourhood offices opened their doors to parents and children. Organiser: Authority for School, Family and Vocational Training.

The 2025 edition continued the established format: hundreds of participating institutions in the seven Hamburg districts (Mitte, Altona, Eimsbüttel, Hamburg-Nord, Wandsbek, Bergedorf, Harburg) offered a free programme, bundled in the official programme booklet. Advice, cultural, educational, and leisure activities alternated.

For years, the Tag der Familien has been a fixed date in the family policy calendar of the federal state of Hamburg – a visibility initiative centrally organised by the city-state for the often fragmented family infrastructure of Hamburg.
