The 41st edition of the Hamburg Short Film Festival in June 2025 once again presented over 300 films in several Hamburg cinemas. The International, German, and Triple Axel competitions formed the backbone of the program; curated special screenings and industry meetings complemented the offerings around the Festival Center in Ottensen.

The 41st edition of the Hamburg Short Film Festival took place again in June 2025 in several venues across the Hanseatic city. As every year, the three competitions – International, German, Triple Axel – were at the center, complemented by curated special programs on global themes and industry gatherings.

The Festival Center at Kaltenkircher Platz served as a meeting point between screenings, receptions, and workshops. With funding from Creative Europe and several Hamburg cultural institutions, the festival in 2025 was once again on a solid foundation, consolidating its role as one of Europe's most important short film events.
