Overview
The 2025 Salt Festival once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors to Halle's city center. The Market Square, Hallmarkt, and Ulrichskirche Square became stages for a medieval market, stage program, Bornknecht race, and laser show. In parallel, the Saline Festival took place at the Halloren and Saline Museum on September 27 and 28.
The 30th edition of the festival since its revival in 1995 ran from September 26 to 28, 2025, with the usual program: salt traders, medieval market, Halloren in traditional attire, Bornknecht race, carpenters' 'Lossprechung' on Sunday, and a laser show with pyrotechnics on Saturday evening. The parallel Saline Festival with show boiling was held at the Saline Museum.
