The 2025 edition of the Hallesches Laternenfest recorded its highest visitor numbers in 35 years, with around 200,000 guests.
The Hallesches Laternenfest 2025 became a record edition: around 200,000 visitors came to the Saale over the three festival days — a number that, according to the city, had not been reached in 35 years. The boat parades were as crowded as rarely before, and the fireworks were celebrated from bridges and riverbanks.
Programme
The 2025 program followed the established three-day choreography: opening on Friday evening, boat parades and fireworks on Saturday, and a family day on Sunday.
