Overview

The 2025 Hafenfestival took place, as is traditional, in May in Mannheim's Jungbusch. Several stages around the Musikpark, Hafenstraße, and Neckarvorlandstraße brought techno, house, and electronic sounds to the creative harbour quarter. Over 40 DJs, two days, and three nights — a festival format that showcases Mannheim's club scene and the city's UNESCO City of Music identity.

Hafenfestival 2025

In May 2025, Mannheim's Jungbusch once again transformed into a techno and electronic festival site. Musikpark Mannheim and the City of Mannheim arranged several open-air and indoor stages around Hafenstraße. Over 40 DJs provided electronic music over two days and three nights in Mannheim's creative harbour quarter.

As always with urban festival formats, the Hafenfestival combined classic club indoor sets at Musikpark with open-air stages on the closed-off streets. Thousands of visitors from Mannheim, Heidelberg, Ludwigshafen, and the wider Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, as well as from the Frankfurt and Stuttgart club scenes, came to the creative harbour quarter — a clear commitment from Mannheim to its own techno and electronic tradition.
