The Großräschen Town Festival 2025 took place from May 9th to 11th, 2025 in the city center. Three days of programming around Marktplatz and Breitscheidstraße with stage culture, interactive activities, and art-historical tours. Already in 2025, the connection between a classic town festival and urban development themes was evident — a precursor to the town's upcoming role in 2026 as the national venue for the Day of Urban Development Funding. Free admission.
The Großräschen Town Festival 2025 was celebrated from May 9th to 11th, 2025 in the Lausitz city center. As in previous years, the Marktplatz and Breitscheidstraße served as the festival mile — with stage programming, city and architecture tours, children's activities, and gastronomic offerings.
Even in 2025, the festival's triple character was evident: folk festival, neighborhood gathering, and cultural format reflecting the structural change in the Lausitz region. The fact that the town was chosen as the official venue for the nationwide Day of Urban Development Funding in 2026 is a result of this consistent programming line.
