Großer Zapfenstreich of the City of Krefeld

The Großer Zapfenstreich of the City of Krefeld took place in 2025 for the 11th time on von-der-Leyen-Platz in front of Krefeld's Town Hall. As in previous years, the City of Krefeld was the organizer in cooperation with the Bockumer Schützenverein 1611 e.V.

Hundreds of marksmen from all Krefeld districts gathered in front of the Town Hall: marksmen from Oppum, Fischeln, Verberg, Krefeld-Ost, Uerdingen, Hüls, Untergath, Inrath, Bockum, and Linn, as well as the Krefelder Amazonenkorps. Tambours and brass bands played the traditional Großer Zapfenstreich; the ceremony concluded with the Lied vom Guten Kameraden and the National Anthem. The event has established itself as the central unifying element of the local Schützenfest season and directly informed the program planning for 2026.
