Overview

The Große Bergparade Marienberg 2025 took place on Sunday, December 14 (3rd Advent), starting at 2 PM in the mining town. With around 500 costume bearers and brass bands from all over the Erzgebirge, it once again graced the historic town center — combined with the Marienberg Christmas Market.

2025 Miners' Parade — Proven Tradition

The 2025 miners' parade in Marienberg once again drew hundreds of visitors to the mining town in the Erzgebirgskreis. Around 500 'Hauer', 'Steiger', mining guild delegations, and brass bands from all over the Erzgebirge marched in solemn formation through the town center on the 3rd Advent — past the imposing Renaissance market square and St. Mary's Church.

The parade was combined with the Marienberg Christmas Market on the market square, featuring Erzgebirge wood art, mulled wine, and mining songs — part of the UNESCO-recognized Erzgebirge mining culture.
