Edition 2025 — Theaterherbst Greiz
The XXXIV. Greizer Theaterherbst ran from September 12 to 20, 2025, under the motto «Dream Worlds». It opened with «Life is a Dream» by Pedro Calderón de la Barca at the Kulturkirche Aubachtal. Around 50 active participants and about 100 performing artists characterized the festival.
Review «Dream Worlds» 2025
The motto of the XXXIV. Greizer Theaterherbst was «Dream Worlds». It opened on Friday evening at the Kulturkirche Aubachtal with «Life is a Dream» (La vida es sueño) by the Spanish playwright Pedro Calderón de la Barca. The festival ran from September 12 to 20, 2025.
Participation
Around 50 workshop participants brought their original productions to the stage. Together with the guest performances, around 100 artists were seen in Greiz. Venues as usual: 10aRium, Cultural Café in the Heyersches Haus, Vogtlandhalle, Haus Friedensbrücke, and Alte Papierfabrik.
International Flair
In 2025, international guest performances also characterized the program — a hallmark tradition of the festival since its founding in 1991.
