Overview

The 79th Greifswalder Bachwoche took place from June 16 to 22, 2025, under the motto »Bach.familiär« (Bach.family). 39 events centered around the Bach musical family: opening with the Hanover Girls' Choir, family concerts, participatory formats, and the closing Christ Oratorio with the Greifswald Cathedral Choir.

The 2025 edition was dedicated to the widespread Bach musical family. For a week, 39 events invited a journey of discovery through generations and genres — family concerts, children's formats, participatory formats, innovative concert evenings, and sing-along services filled St. Nikolai Cathedral, St. Jacob's Church, and other venues.

The opening was by the Hanover Girls' Choir, and the closing was the Christ Oratorio with the Greifswald Cathedral Choir. Concerts by the cathedral children's choirs, an organ concert for children, a choir family meeting, and a student dance project set special accents.
