Already in 2025, the second edition of the Green Visions Potsdam Film Festival took place at the Filmmuseum. Under the direction of Dieter Kosslick, the festival presented films on the theme of climate and sustainability, supplemented by discussions, a UNESCO special program, and Kiezkino in Potsdam's districts.

In 2025, the festival established its core focuses: thematic clarity (climate, sustainability), high-caliber direction (Kosslick), a discussion format, an international selection, and a move into the neighborhoods through the Kiezkino format.
Strengthening the Profile
Even in its second edition, it became clear that the festival was building its own profile — not as a small copy of the Berlinale, but as a thematically focused film festival with a clear stance.
