Overview
The 2025 mining parade took place on the 4th Sunday of Advent, December 21, at 1:30 PM. More than 1,000 costumed participants and 300 musicians marched through the mining town, concluding the Ore Mountains mining parade season. Closing concert in the St. Annenkirche.
In 2025, more than 1,000 uniformed miners from the Ore Mountains and other mining regions of Germany gathered again in Annaberg-Buchholz. The procession followed the traditional route through the city center, accompanied by about 300 musicians. As every year, the parade concluded with a concert in the late Gothic St. Annenkirche – a moment when the sonority of the mining music fills the hall church and the World Heritage mining tradition becomes palpable.
