Great Mining Parade Annaberg-Buchholz

In 2025, more than 1,000 uniformed miners from the Ore Mountains and other mining regions of Germany gathered again in Annaberg-Buchholz. The procession followed the traditional route through the city center, accompanied by about 300 musicians. As every year, the parade concluded with a concert in the late Gothic St. Annenkirche – a moment when the sonority of the mining music fills the hall church and the World Heritage mining tradition becomes palpable.
