60 Years of Grasbahn Tradition

The ADAC Grasbahnrennen Rastede has been a fixture on the German Speedway and track racing calendar since 1966. The event is organized by the Rasteder Automobil-Club, which hosts the race annually on the grass-covered tournament grounds in Rastede Castle Park. The 60th edition in 2026 is a special anniversary with a unique program.

2026 Edition — Two Days of Motorsport

The anniversary edition takes place on Saturday, August 8th, and Sunday, August 9th, 2026. The venue is Friedhofsweg 3A, 26180 Rastede.

Saturday Program — August 8th

• 1:30 PM: EVLS Veterans competition + Free Practice
• Show program and gathering for track racing fans
• Day ticket adult: €15

Sunday Program — August 9th

• 9 AM: Practice
• 1 PM: Opening Ceremony
• 1:30 PM: Main races in four categories (Solo, Sidecar, Enduro, others)
• World Record Attempt as an anniversary highlight
• Day ticket adult: €25

What Grasbahn Means

In Grasbahn racing, motorcycles without brakes compete on an oval grass track — drifting, cornering at high speeds, and spectacular maneuvers make the sport thrilling. Sidecar races with a passenger leaning out of the sidecar are a special attraction. Up to 5,000 spectators per day make this event one of the largest track racing dates in Northern Germany.

Schlosspark Rastede — Motorsport Tradition

The tournament grounds in the Schlosspark normally host the Oldenburg State Tournament and the Rastede Music Festival. During the Grasbahn race weekends, the grounds reveal their other side: powerful engines, loud atmosphere, and pure motorsport excitement.
