Overview

The 73rd Grafenauer Volksfest took place in early July 2025 at the Grafenau festival grounds. Six festival days with WAIDLA Sunday and WAIDLA Market, festival tent music, classic rides, and traditional opening with a horse-drawn procession and beer tapping on Friday afternoon.

The Grafenauer Volksfest 2025 (73rd edition) ran for six festival days in early July as usual at the festival grounds. Approximately 60,000 visitors came from all over the Bavarian Forest, the neighboring Bohemian Forest, and the surrounding districts.

The highlight, as every year, was WAIDLA Sunday with the WAIDLA Market directly on the festival grounds – traditional costume fashion, regional crafts, garden decorations, and gifts attracted thousands of market visitors. The beer tapping on Friday afternoon, the festival tent concert, and the typical Bavarian Forest amusement park with bumper cars, swing boats, and carousels completed the program.
