Overview
The 33rd edition of GOLDENER SPATZ once again brought together the German-language children's media industry in Erfurt and Gera in 2025. With around one hundred film and professional events, workshops, and a children's jury, the festival reaffirmed its role as a central meeting point for films, series, and digital formats that take children seriously.
The focus of the 2025 edition was on the nominated productions from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. A children's jury selected the award winners in the categories of feature film, series, information/documentary, animation, and web. The festival was accompanied by the Fach Forum, a Pop-Up Media Workshop, and school screenings.
