Overview

The 2nd Tulip Sunday 2025 traditionally took place a week after the 1st Tulip Sunday on Fetzer's demonstration field in Gönningen. Around 50,000 tulips in over 100 varieties were in full bloom, with catering at the field, the Seed Trade Museum, and the Protestant church open. Families and spring excursionists from Reutlingen, Tübingen, and Stuttgart enjoyed the relaxed Tulip Sunday.

2nd Tulip Sunday 2025

The 2025 edition confirmed the tradition. With mild spring weather, Fetzer's trial field filled with visitors from the Reutlingen and Tübingen areas on Sunday morning. After a week of blooming, the tulips were still in full splendor, with many varieties reaching their visual peak.

The catering at the field — cakes from Gönningen bakeries, coffee, spring bowls, and Swabian specialties — was well-received. The Seed Trade Museum recounted the history of the Gönningen seed trade, and the Protestant church was a popular photo motif in the sunshine. Tulip bulbs for the autumn planting season found numerous buyers.
