Edition 2026 — GITARRE 26 Remscheid
The 26th edition of the International Bergisches Guitar Festival runs from New Year's Day to January 5th, 2026, featuring five concert evenings and full-day workshops at the Akademie der Kulturellen Bildung, Küppelstein 34, Remscheid. The program spans classical, jazz, rock, and world music.
Festival director and faculty team Herbert Fiedler and Torsten Schäfer have put together a program for 2026 that culminates in the International Guitar Night on January 3rd, 2026, featuring Samrat Majumder, Duo KM, and Philipp Humburg. Workshops and masterclasses accompany the concert program. Tickets are available on-site and online via the academy.

- Thu 01/01/2026, 8:00 PM: Opening Concert 'Egger meets Decker' – Free admission.
- Fri 01/02/2026, 8:00 PM: Faculty Concert 'Rock meets Jazz' with the Werner Neumann Trio and Peter Fischer – €4.
- Sat 01/03/2026, 8:00 PM: International Guitar Night – featuring Samrat Majumder (India), guitar duo KM, and Philipp Humburg (classical guitar) – €20 / reduced €10.
- Sun 01/04/2026, 8:00 PM: 'Young Generation in Concert' with Benjamin Ojstersek, Valentina Krempatić, and Görkem Yılmaz – €4.
- Mon 01/05/2026: Closing concerts by workshop participants: 4:30 PM classical guitar, 7:30 PM electric guitar – Free admission for both.
