Edition 2024 — Gildefest Süderau
The Gildefest Süderau 2024 took place on June 8. The Süderau Kirchdorfsgilde and the municipality continued the long-standing Gildefest tradition at Hof Köhler.
The 2024 edition followed the classic format of the Süderau Kirchdorfsgilde. A festival service, guild procession with traditional costumes and banners, a communal festive meal at Hof Köhler, and the evening program constituted the day's events.
The Süderau Kirchdorfsgilde is among the still active Kirchdorfsgilden in Schleswig-Holstein — a living piece of tradition that continues the neighborhood self-organization of the North German marsh villages.
