Overview
In 2025, the Gießen Summer of Culture took place in mid to late August at the Kloster Schiffenberg open-air stage with a similar 13-day program structure – opening with Schiffenberg Classics, followed by pop, rock, and Schlager highlights until the end of August.
In 2025, the Kultursommer at Schiffenberg further established itself as a fixture of the Central Hesse open-air season. The festival brings national and international stars to the immediate vicinity of the university city of Gießen and uses the monastery setting as its visual hallmark.
