Overview

At the 11th German-Turkish Tulip Festival 2025, the state government of Saarland announced the inclusion of the event in the state register of intangible cultural heritage — a milestone for the unique Homburg festival.

14 participating stalls, several thousand visitors, stage programme with folklore and modern music. The designation as intangible cultural heritage places the Tulip Festival alongside the Saarland's Schwenker and other culturally significant traditions.

Programme

2025 Programme: Opening at 1 p.m. by Lord Mayor Forster and representatives of the Turkish Consulate General, folklore dances, Saz concerts, German-Turkish culinary offerings, children's programme. Highlight: Announcement of inclusion in the cultural heritage register.
