Edition 2025 — DAV Hohenfels
The 50th edition of the German-American Volksfest Hohenfels took place in late April 2025 as traditionally held on the festival grounds within the training area. The festival tent, amusement park, bus tours across the training area, and exhibitions by the US Army and Bundeswehr attracted tens of thousands of visitors from the Upper Palatinate and the greater Nuremberg-Regensburg area.
With the 50th edition in 2025, the German-American Volksfest Hohenfels marked a significant anniversary: 50 years of the Volksfest on the US military training area. The event took place in late April and followed the classic format of a German-American festival tent, amusement park, bus tours, and exhibitions.
As always, the Volksfest underscored the decades-long neighborly relationship between the US Army Garrison Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate population. It was already announced in 2025 that the following edition in 2026 would be exceptionally moved to early July to celebrate the double anniversary of the 250th US Independence Day and the 75th anniversary of the training area's expansion.
