Edition 2025 — Gera Beach
Gera Beach 2025 transformed Gera's city centre into a beach landscape in late August. Beach volleyball tournaments, DJ performances, and a diverse family program characterized the event. For the first time, a charity component was also more prominent — prize money went to the ISA Kompass Children's Home, among others. With the «Summer in the City» format, the City of Gera establishes its market square as a summer venue.
Gera Beach 2025
The 2025 edition offered six days of beach sports and summer programming in the city centre. The beach volleyball tournaments attracted teams from all over East Thuringia, and the family program in the Kanitz Lounge engaged both parents and children. The charity events raised donations for local initiatives. With DJ sets and summer cinema, the format continued to evolve — forming the basis for the shift in focus to the cinema format in 2026.
