Edition 2025 — Garz Christmas Market

The 2025 edition of the Garz Christmas Market took place on December 6th and 7th, 2025, at the castle rampart in Garz on Rügen. The traditional Advent market on the 2nd Advent weekend opened on Saturdays from 11 AM to 10 PM and on Sundays from 11 AM to 6 PM. Numerous stalls offered crafts, mulled wine, and regional specialties; for children, there was a fairy tale forest, a fairy tale fountain, a decorated pyramid, and visits from Santa Claus.

Review: Garz Christmas Market 2025

In 2025, the Garz Christmas Market on the 2nd Advent weekend once again attracted many visitors from Garz, Bergen, and the surrounding communities of Rügen. The town of Garz organized the market at the historic castle rampart — Saturdays until 10 PM with evening lighting and atmospheric mulled wine offerings, Sundays with a focus on family activities.

Santa Claus visited the castle rampart festival grounds on both days and distributed sweets to the children. Volunteers ensured the festive staging in the fairy tale forest and at the fairy tale fountain. Artisans from the Rügen area offered wood carvings, ceramics, knitwear, and Christmas decorations, while regional producers presented smoked fish, honey, and sea buckthorn liqueur.
