Overview

The 52nd edition of the Garching Citizens' Week took place in July 2025 in the established two-part structure: a festival tent Volksfest in the Bürgerpark to kick things off, followed by a street festival in the city center to conclude. Concerts and cabaret in the Bürgerhaus rounded off the program.

The 52nd Citizens' Week attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the university town north of Munich again in July 2025. The Volksfest in the Bürgerpark began with the traditional parade of the clubs and the beer tapping, and the festival evenings featured live bands. The street festival on the second weekend once again transformed the city center into a festival mile with arts and crafts, street food, and several stages. Cabaret, concerts, and a family program ran concurrently in the Bürgerhaus — a format that has characterized the Citizens' Week since its founding in 1973.
