Edition 2025 — GaPa Everesting
In May 2025, an internal pilot edition of the Everesting Festival was held on the Eckbauer in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. With a closed circle of invited athletes, the format of 18 laps with a total of 8,848 vertical meters and descent via the Eckbauerbahn was tested for the first time.
The 2025 pilot edition was held with invited trail runners as a dress rehearsal for the public premiere in 2026. The format, route, catering logistics, and timing were tested under real conditions. Based on the experiences from 2025, the regulations and procedures for the public 2026 edition were finalized.
