Overview
The 21st edition of Gallery Weekend Berlin took place in early May 2025 with around 50 participating galleries and over 80 artistic positions. Since 2005, the event on the May 1st weekend has been the most important Berlin date on the international art market — collectors from the USA, Asia, and Europe visit the capital annually for these three days.
The 2025 edition also brought together Berlin's gallery scene for a weekend of parallel vernissages. In Mitte, Kreuzberg, Tiergarten, and Charlottenburg, the most important participating galleries opened their doors simultaneously on Friday evening — moving between the venues, from one vernissage to the next, is a conceptual part of the format. International collectors and museum professionals characterized the weekend, while the local public dominated the following two days.
