Gäubodenvolksfest Straubing

With the 2025 edition, the Gäubodenvolksfest confirmed its reputation as a major Bavarian event. From August 8 to 18, the Festplatz Am Hagen welcomed millions of visitors from Lower Bavaria, the state of Bavaria, and guests from all over Germany as well as from Austria and the Czech Republic.

As in previous years, the parade with around 2,000 participants opened the folk festival on the first Friday. The seven festival tents offered brass music, Bavarian Schlager, and party hits over eleven days, while the Ostbayernschau simultaneously presented over 600 exhibitors in 16 halls. Straubing's '5th Season' once again went down in history as a powerful statement of Bavarian festival culture.
