Overview

The Fürth Michaelis-Kirchweih 2025 once again transformed the city center into Southern Germany's largest street festival for twelve days. 254 exhibitors, large amusement rides, and the live-broadcast Harvest Thanksgiving parade attracted around 1.5 million visitors.

In 2025, Fürth once again celebrated the Michaelis-Kirchweih, the "Queen of Franconian Kirchweihen," for twelve days in autumn. Across approximately 42,000 m², 254 exhibitors offered amusement rides, food, and merchandise – including a Ferris wheel, seven large amusement rides, and ten children's rides, but as always, no beer tents. The highlight was the Harvest Thanksgiving parade with festively decorated floats, traditional costume and music groups, which was broadcast live on television. With around 1.5 million visitors, the Kärwa, recognized as Bavarian intangible cultural heritage, once again confirmed its status as one of Franconia's most important Volksfeste.
