The Frohnauer Hammerfest takes place only every five years. Therefore, there was no major festival weekend in 2025. Instead, the forge museum was open daily for regular visits as usual, with special events such as the Open Monument Day, children's activity days, and mining tours.

2025 — In-between Year Without a Major Festival

Following its five-year cycle, the Frohnauer Hammerfest takes a break in 2025. However, the forge museum remained open daily for visitors as usual — with demonstrations of the water-powered stamping mill, regular tours, special exhibitions, and smaller activity days.

Preparations for the next major Hammerfest in 2026 began in spring 2025, with renovation work on the forge museum and planning for the stage and craft program.
