Frierock Festival

The 25th Frierock Festival 2025 was an anniversary edition of the Punk/Ska/Rock/Hardcore festival supported by the AWO local chapter Friesack since 1997. On August 8th and 9th, 2025, several generations of the German independent scene — from established bands to newcomers — performed on the Friesack open-air stage.

As in previous years, the collective organizational principle shaped the festival: no commercial sponsors, community kitchen instead of catering, local participation through the "Colorful Weekday" on the Thursday before the festival. Most tickets were sold during the online pre-sale, and the box office closed quickly on both days. For the anniversary edition, the lineup was curated with particular care — a tribute to 25 years of Frierock and the alternative scene of Brandenburg.
