Overview
The 5th edition of Friedenstein Open Air Gotha in the summer of 2025 continued the successful concept «Thüringen Philharmonie meets…» — classical meets pop, Schlager, and film music in the courtyard of Friedenstein Castle. High-calibre soloists and bands performed in the baroque palace complex, filling the summer with grand orchestral power and crossover experiences.
Previous Edition 2025
The fifth festival edition cemented Friedenstein Open Air as a fixture on Thuringia's summer cultural calendar. As in previous years, the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach performed with guest stars in several summer concerts in the castle courtyard; the «CLASSICAL MEETS POP MUSIC» format remained its hallmark. Tickets were sold out by early spring — an indicator of the setting's popularity.
