Overview
In 2025, Gochsheim again celebrated the Friedensfest and Kirchweih on the first weekend of September. On Saturday, the fir trees were fetched and the Planbaum was erected on the Plan; on Sunday, the Planburschen in black frock coats and top hats, along with the Planmädchen, proceeded to the sermon service, followed by the Plantanz with Walzer, Rheinländer, Schottisch, and Dreher, as well as the hopping Plankehrer. The Sennfeld and Gochsheim Friedensfest, recognised as intangible cultural heritage, once again confirmed its status as one of Franconia's outstanding living traditions and attracted several thousand visitors to the Schweinfurt district.
