Overview

The Freudenstadt Grand Fasnetumzug also took place in 2025 on Carnival Saturday through the city center. Several thousand costumed participants and carnival groups from the entire Black Forest region took part in the parade, which was organized by the Narrenzunft Freudenstadt e.V. Thousands of spectators lined the route from the Oberer Marktplatz to the Stadthalle.

Fasnetumzug 2025

As every year, the Grand Saturday Afternoon Parade 2025 transformed the Freudenstadt city center into a Fasnet stage. Over 50 carnival groups, several thousand costumed participants, and Guggenmusiken marched through the main streets — from the Oberer Marktplatz to the Stadthalle. Thousands of spectators lined the route.

The Narrenzunft Freudenstadt e.V. has been preserving its Fasnet tradition for decades with figures such as Bergmännle, Keaberg Hex, Bärenfänger & Bär, and Belzebua. The Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet has been UNESCO intangible cultural heritage since 2014.
